Great participation and valuable speakers attended the WISE event in Italy, sharing their experiences for gender equality in sport.
Last 2nd December, WISE was in Sulmona. At Istituto Superiore Ovidio we presented the project results. In particular we analysed those tests and pilot actions made in the past months in Italy, Serbia and Spain.
The event was aimed at sensitizing girls and the entire society about the importance of physical activity for an healthy growth and tackle the gender gap in the world of sport.
During the day, some of the project partners shared their experiences, as well as teachers of IIS Ovidio: moreover, we had the pleasure to listen to a powerful speech by Selena Mazzantini, head coach of the Italian Women’s football Team Under19. “It’s been a pleasure for me to be here and talk about the motivation that inspired me to overtake obstacles and reach my targets” she said.
